43. ASIAN STUBTAIL. At least one bird around the bird bath in the Imperial Palace Gardens.

48. Siberian stonechat. Several along Kama-gawa River. Orange rumps of females obvious.

49. ASIAN BROWN FLYCATCHER. One in Kyoto Botanic Gardens and one photographed at Nankou. Very large-eyed with a prominent eye-ring.

50. NARCISSUS FLYCATCHER. Female at the bird bath, Imperial Palace Gardens, Kyoto.

51. BLUE-AND-WHITE FLYCATCHER. Female at the bird bath, Imperial Palace Gardens, Kyoto.More robust than the rather similar Narcissus female, and more rufous in wings.
