44. ORIENTAL REED WARBLER. One, Kama-gawa River. 45. EASTERN CROWNED WARBLER. At least one in mixed flock of migrants, Kyoto Botanic Gardens. 46. Japanese white-eye. Fairly common.
47. WHITE-CHEEKED STARLING.Common and widespread.
48. Siberian stonechat. Several along Kama-gawa River. Orange rumps of females obvious. 49. ASIAN BROWN FLYCATCHER. One in Kyoto Botanic Gardens and one photographed at Nankou. Very large-eyed with a prominent eye-ring.
50. NARCISSUS FLYCATCHER. Female at the bird bath, Imperial Palace Gardens, Kyoto. 51. BLUE-AND-WHITE FLYCATCHER. Female at the bird bath, Imperial Palace Gardens, Kyoto.More robust than the rather similar Narcissus female, and more rufous in wings.
