A male ferruginous duck at Chew Valley lake in April 2003. I took the photo with a Nikon 995 Coolpix camera attached to a Swarovski AT 80 HD telescope. My early photographs were taken with this camera by 'digiscoping', but I have subsequently abandoned this in favour of the better quality images obtained with a digital SLR camera and telephoto lenses.
